We grow 5 different varieties of cherry tree at our new orchard. These are Kordia, Colney, Penny, Regina and Sweetheart. These varieties are all planted on the latest, most reliable and consistent Gisela series rootstocks. The first variety picked is Kordia, roughly towards the end of the first week of July and then the varieties sequentially in the order listed. All of theses varieties are late black cherries of substantial size and are a truly mouth-watering experience.

The timing of this opportunity to rent a cherry tree could not be better. The cherry trees were rented out for the first time for the 2007 cherry crop. The orchard was planted in the winter of 2003 so this was the first substantial crop, and we picked up to 15kg per tree which meant everyone who rented a tree went home very happy and amazed you could get so many cherries from one tree! Therefore, if you love cherries this is the place for you as it gives you the chance to enjoy all the benefits of the cherry orchard in its’ prime.
Freshly picked kent cherries straight from the cherry tree, at optimum ripeness, offer a uniquely different and satisfying taste to the cherries that you'll buy in your local shops and supermarkets. You will be amazed by the difference in flavour.
Local grown fruit is widely appreciated by consumers and keenly sought after. If such fruit can be highly flavoursome with minimal air miles attached, it meets all the criteria of a modern consumer - we want to grow our fruit based around this ethos.
